Kenya Airways & Travelport are now partners

Those wishing to fly Kenya Airways can now access the airline’s full inventory of flights and online fares.This follows an agreement signed Tuedays between the airline and Travel port that connects users worldwide.The new 5 year agreement, which takes immediate effect, will enable users and Agents to gain access to full fares and inventory of the airline including its online fares

Addressing the media in his office , the Kenya Airways group managing director, Dr. Titus Naikuni, said the agreement will offer the airline exceptional access to the travel trade and has also scheduled flights to 50 global destinations with an extensive network in Africa,

“It is an important part of our overall distribution strategy and we are confident that Travelport global reach will propel our business forward and for that reason we have signed a long term agreement,” said Naikuni

Speaking in the same function, the managing director for Travelport in Africa, Mr. Mark Meehan, said that they happy to work with Kenya Airways because it is the leading airline operating one of the largest fleets in Africa and has significant expansion plants across the continent. “

Mark also revealed that travelport operates in 160 countries and has an approximate of 5, 400 employees, “We collected a revenue of $2.2billion in 2009, global distribution system that includes the worldspan and Galileo brands.” He added

We look forward to working closely with Kenya Airways as a strategic partner and providing our users with full content,” he said.
